Custom Bronze Plaque

Recently we were approached about fabricating a custom bronze plaque for a customer looking to display their family crest front and center on one of the pillars of their driveway entrance. The client provided us with some pictures off the internet he had found, and some background on their concept. The family, of Latin and Lithuanian decent, wanted to represent both lineages appropriately. We reviewed the artwork- what seemed to be a hand drawn picture found off google, and began tracing and converting the image to vector format.
Keeping the theme to be a coat of arms or a shield, the client requested the words Casa Vytis be displayed on the plaque. After drawing the shield and warrior in vector format, a special typeface was created to display the words. Several mockups were exchanged with placement, layout, etc of the elements, until we settled on the final design.
Once the art was approved, The plaque went into production. Manufactured from a solid piece of mercury-free bronze, the plaque was expertly tooled to showcase the detail and precision of the vectored design and custom typeface. Weighing in at an impressive 80+lbs, this plaque was an incredible piece of art, created to bring a sense of pride to the family residence; and show their pride in their family and lineage. The plaque was mounted by 12 Point Signworks to one of the client's brick pillars out front of their home using the proper mounting hardware. The outcome was a final touch to accompany an already stunning home.
