Hot matte black wrap for WRX STi track racer!

Although we've previously shown some "fresh out of the garage" photos of the matte black Subaru WRX STI, we were able to get our hands on some glamour shots that really call attention to the awesome look the matte black vinyl creates.
Note the sponsor logos applied in gloss black cut vinyl along the lower region of the car's sides. This tone-on-tone combination is subtle and sleek.
Over the course of a full year of racing, the matte black vinyl proved itself to be quite resilient. We found a few locations around the wheel wells where rock chips had taken small bites out of the vinyl, but overall the outcome of our inspection showed how well this material can hold up.
This particular wrap was done with Oracal's 970RA, a cast wrapping vinyl that is 0.004" (4 mil) thick. As you might imagine, the most difficult areas of the wrap were associated with the front bumper and the rear wing. We even brought in Subaru techs to help us break down and build up the vehicle so that we could full wrap around and behind all the body components (including the door handles, lights, bumper pieces, etc.).
We also added matte black vinyl in the door sills and around the pillars so that when the doors were closed, none of the original body paint was visible through any seams. This wrap was complete!
